Mount Afadja, known as Afadjato to the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo, is the highest mountain in Ghana. The summit is located in the Volta Region, near the border with Togo, close to the villages of Liati Wote and Gbledi Gbogame in the Afadjato South District and Hohoe Municipality, respectively.

Afadjato, Ghana's highest free-standing mountain at 885 meters. In addition to the mountain's sweeping views all the way to Togo and Lake Volta, Liati .

The site is located in the Hohoe District, south-east of the town of Hohoe. It is part of the Akwapim-Togo Range, which is aligned north-east to south-west between the Volta river and the international border with Togo. Afadjato (885 m) is the highest peak in Ghana.

The name Afadjato comes from Avadzeto which means “to go to war against the bush”. The mountain owes this name to the fact that it is covered by a certain plant which causes severe skin irritations. Hence, whenever farmers or hunters climbed the mountain, they were “at war” with the plant

Mount Afadjato, one of the highest mountains in West Africa, offers a four- to six-hour hike, and following on from this, the area around the Volta has many minor mountains with spectacular views and fresh air, and with very little in the way of interference by the modern world, making it a hiking highlight.
